Mia feels extreme pressure from her ballet instructor, who is unimpressed by her. Audrey is a brilliant dancer, but she’s always looked down on Mia for not being as “serious” about the craft. Her roommate is Audrey, the girl who’s always been her biggest competition. She quickly realizes that this will not be as easy as she thought. Undeterred, she got accepted to a program in Paris and is determined to spend the summer doing nothing but dance. Yet despite all that hard work, Mia was still rejected from her dream: the American Ballet Theatre’s summer program in New York City.
